Train By train you can either go via Switzerland to the Gotthard-Milan route from Milan and Genoa or Munich-Verona and Brescia and from there to Genoa. Trains are leaving from Genoa to the west and east direction along the Ligurian coast during the day almost every hour and make the railway an ideal and inexpensive way to explore the coastal area of the Riviera.
