With 175 000 inhabitants is the only hanseatic city of Finland and the fifth largest city in the country. Until 1812 was the capital of Finland Turku.
Castle (Turun linna) In the port at the mouth of the Aurajoki, lies the castle, the greatest attraction of Turku (oldest parts date from 1280). The Historical Museum at the castle shows a comprehensive cultural and historical collection. Middle of April-middle of Sept. daily 10am-6pm, middle of Sept.-middle of April Tue-Sun 10am-3pm.
Cathedral (Tuomiokirkko) The late-brick building (1300) is the principal church of the Lutheran church (9am-7pm daily).

Naantali Naantali is a medieval jewel with beautiful wooden houses, very popular as a summer resort (17 km). With Naantali Spa it has the largest and most modern spa in Finland (with hotel, 86 rooms).
